Leveling relationships in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

When you move from the game world to the camp, you have the opportunity to exchange a few words with your companions. You should do this regularly, at least starting in Act 2, to improve your relationships with them through conversations and time spent together.

Specifically, after reaching certain story points, you'll have the option to spend some time talking to your companions. This will activate short sequences and dialogues in which you'll learn more about the respective character.

After completing such a sequence, the corresponding relationship level increases; there are seven levels in total for each of the five companions. For the final three level-ups, you must complete linked quests that lead you to different zones of the game world.

• Romance with Sciel : When you're about to advance your relationship with Sciel from level 3 to 4, she'll ask if you're interested in an adventure. Regardless of your response, your level will increase to 4. However, to start the romance, you must accept the suggestion. The same applies to a later dialogue at level 5, which revolves around a renewed celebration of the time you spent together, thereby deepening your relationship.
• Romance with Lune : To start this romance, you must decline the adventure with Sciel at level 3 because you are tired. This way, you will regularly have the opportunity to express your affection for Lune in conversation options, which leads to a romantic finale at level 7.

You can also experience a particularly intimate moment with your Gestral companion Monoco if you select the corresponding dialogue option in the camp after completing his companion quest.
