How to Solve the Maze and Bring Dverje Back to Life in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players will encounter many unexpected meetings. Sometimes, you’ll come across sentient neurons in the game world, which you can help and receive rewards for doing so. Here, we’ll explain in detail how to help Dverje find the wooden planks, as well as how to locate the Mysterious Ruins and solve the challenging maze with braziers.

How to find the neuron

Open the location Mysterious Ruins to the west of Old Lumiere. After entering, you’ll discover the Lumiere Ruins flag and a blue energy cluster nearby. Interacting with it reveals it’s a ghost, and somewhere nearby, there is an item that can help free it. Move forward and you’ll encounter a maze.

How to solve the maze

The maze is presented as nine sections with braziers in each cell. Shooting a brazier opens or closes the passage to a certain cell.

To solve the puzzle, you need to perform the following actions:

  1. In the starting cell (8), shoot the brazier and go left.
  2. Entering the left cell (7), shoot the first (8) and this brazier (7).
  3. Go to the next cell (4) and move to the opposite side (5,6).
  4. Shoot the central brazier (5) and exit the maze (6,3,2).

How to solve the maze

Enter the ruins and find the Wooden Planks on the roof of the ruins. Note that if you want to come back here again, you’ll have to go through the maze once more. After collecting all valuables, return to the ghost and give him the planks. As a result, he will turn into Dverje and reward you with the pictos Protective Healing: healing an ally also grants armor for 1 turn.

Can you kill the neuron

You can, of course, kill the neuron to get resources: lumen color and chrome catalyst. But we do not recommend doing this, as it will cause you to fail the quest in which all sentient neurons must remain alive.
