Ubisoft isn't slowing down when it comes to developing the Assassin's Creed series - there are currently several games in production set in different eras and settings, and fans of the franchise are still expecting a truly diverse experience. Among all these games currently in development, there is also a project that is considered the most mysterious - Assassin's Creed Hexe.
While there is still no official information about Hexe, there are more and more leaks that point to what we can expect from the game. According to an X insider, the game will have a dark, almost gothic atmosphere, and the story will focus on Elsa, a woman seeking revenge after her mother is executed for witchcraft during a witch trial. If the leak is true, we will get perhaps the darkest and most personal story in the series.
But that's where the controversy lies - the Assassins themselves may once again be lacking. If Hexe does indeed go in the direction of personal vendettas and an occult atmosphere, some fans may feel that it's increasingly difficult to find the Assassin traditions that have been the foundation of the series. Of course, these are just rumors for now, so take them with a grain of salt.
