The legendary sword of King Arthur, Excalibur, is one of the most famous in myths and legends. In the role-playing game Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, you can acquire it as well. However, obtaining it is no easy task. Let’s figure out how to do it.
Unlike other powerful artifacts in the game, Excalibur is guarded by a deadly curse that drains the character’s health when they attempt to pull it out.
Where to Find Excalibur
The sword is located in the Horns of the South, one of the main areas in the game. In the fortress, you’ll find a large statue with several hands gripping the legendary sword. To get this item, you won’t need to fight. Simply approach the statue and interact with it to start pulling out the sword. However, this will cause your health to rapidly drain, and it will kill the main character long before you can fully extract the blade.
You can attempt to pull the sword at any time, but try to prepare in advance.
How to Pull Excalibur?
You won’t be able to quickly restore your health or significantly slow down its depletion using regular methods. Here are some tips to help you obtain King Arthur’s sword:
1. Useful Tips
- You can complete the Shadows of the Horns quest to learn the sword’s secret.
- Use the Slow Time skill. When interacting with the sword, the timer will continue at a normal pace, but your health will deplete more slowly;
- Additionally, stock up on food and other healing potions. It won’t be enough on its own, but it will help reduce the consumption of your main potion;
- Lower the difficulty. On easy difficulty, your health will drain more slowly. You can temporarily change the difficulty and then switch it back;
- Upgrade your equipment. The more armor and resistance you have, the less health you will lose;
- Increase your health. You can drink a potion to reset your skills and attributes, then invest everything into health. Not the best advice, but it might help.
