Rockstar-focused X account GameRoll has shared alleged new details about GTA 6. While the information should be taken with a grain of salt, the insider previously revealed the names of the main characters before the official announcement.
According to the leak, the game will include over 700 stores, including fully functioning shopping malls. However, GameRoll admitted it’s unclear what exactly counts as a “store” — vending machines might be part of the tally.
Other reported details include:
- Some skyscrapers will have working elevators;
- Strip clubs will feature both male and female dancers;
- The story is split into five chapters;
- The weapon system will resemble Red Dead Redemption 2 — characters can only carry a limited number of weapons, with the rest stored in the car’s trunk;
- Dual-wielding is not supported;
- Players will be able to freely switch between protagonists not only in the open world but also during certain missions;
- The dynamic cover system, similar to The Last of Us, has reportedly been removed — taking cover now works via a dedicated button;
- Mentions of “sex robots” from the major 2022 leak were accurate, but this content has since been cut.
GTA 6 is set to launch on May 26 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
