It's a curious anniversary, to say the least. It's been seven long years since Bethesda Game Studios announced The Elder Scrolls 6. The teaser, shown at Bethesda Softworks' E3 2018 conference, currently has 19.7 million views on YouTube.
The studio never shared any further information about the RPG development with fans. However, having made an announcement and released Fallout 76, the company is focusing heavily on developing Starfield.
It was only in March 2024 that Bethesda reminded about the game, stating that they were already playing early builds of TES 6. According to the developers, the project has passed the pre-production stage and is in the early stages of production.
Recall that it was previously reported that The Elder Scrolls 6 would be released no earlier than 2027 on PC and Xbox. However, there was not a word about this game at the recent Xbox Games Showcase 2025.
