When developing Mafia: The Old Country, Hangar 13 chose to use cutting-edge technology to "push the boundaries" and create the "most stunning" story in the series from a graphics perspective.
The developers understood that it was the graphics that could help players immerse themselves in the story, so they used cutting-edge technologies such as MetaHuman, Nanite, and Lumen. Each element was created to improve the visual quality. This time, players will not find themselves in a large open world, instead, the developers preferred a linear adventure, which allowed them to improve the quality of the graphics.
Mafia: The Old Country takes players to 1920s Sicily and tells the story of Enzo Favara, a young man who falls in with the Sicilian Torrisi mafia family, on his rise to power through a cycle of violence, intrigue and betrayal.
The game will be released on August 8th on PC and consoles.
