Virtuos studio employee Doug van Horn's LinkedIn profile mentions working on additional content for Cyberpunk 2077. Later this information was removed, and not only the mention of the DLC, but also the data on its work in Virtuos in general.
CD Projekt Red has not officially announced any new additions to the game. However, Virtuos has previously collaborated with the developers - the studio participated in the creation of patch 2.2, which was released in December 2024.
Despite the end of active support for Cyberpunk 2077, the release of a new add-on seems like a logical step:
- The game continues to sell well and will soon be released on Nintendo Switch 2;
- CD Projekt doesn't have any major releases in the coming years, so DLC could keep the project interesting.
Van Horn's profile mentions that the DLC will feature some new side quests. Plot details for the expansion are currently unknown.
Considering that users have previously also found a hint of a new update for the game, it looks like the new DLC could indeed be one of the surprises for players from CD Projekt RED.
