Rumor: The Witcher Remake Creators Are Making Third DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Coming in 2026

 

Polish journalists and podcasters from the Remigiusz Maciaszek channel report that several of their sources claim that the third expansion to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released in 2026. The DLC is being developed by Fool's Theory, which is also developing a remake of the original The WitcherThe size and cost of the add-on are not disclosed.

At the moment, the rumor seems rather dubious, but if it turns out to be true, then there are obvious parallels with Cyberpunk 2077: Earlier, one of the employees of the Virtuos studio, let it slip in his resume that the studio is working on a new DLC for the game.

It is possible that by attracting support studios to develop add-ons for already released games, CD Projekt RED thus decided to earn additional funds during the years without high-profile releases and fill the void until the release of The Witcher 4, which is still a few years away from release.
