Toyotaro joins forces with one of the fathers of Dragon Ball to present a new manga, and fans are already starting to worry about the future of Super Saiyan.
It's been two months since the Dragon Ball Super manga released its final chapter, and since then, we haven't the slightest idea when it will return. While there's no mention of a definitive end to the series, it does seem like we'll be in for a long hiatus, as its main creator is eyeing another project.
As we have been able to learn thanks to the Japan Expo website , the author of Dragon Ball Super , Toyotaro, and the first editor of Dragon Ball (and one of the fathers of the series), Kazuhiko Torishima , will join forces to present a new, completely original manga next month.
This is obviously great news, as one of the industry's titans will be working on a new manga; but it's also a huge concern for Dragon Ball fans , as this makes it clear that the Super manga will be taking some time off before its return.
It's practically unthinkable for a mangaka to be working on two different mangas at the same time. Aside from the fact that it's a task that requires excessive hours of work, it's also dangerous in terms of keeping track of the story, as the author himself would have to work on two different stories at the same time, from two completely different universes.
This doesn't mean the Dragon Ball Super manga is over, as there's no indication it's ending or canceling, but it does mean it will take some time before returning. This manga may be a one-shot of a few pages or a relatively short story, so we'll have to wait to learn more details about this new work.
