Update 1.5 for STALKER 2 will be released in the second half of June

 

GSC Game World studio confirmed that major update 1.5 for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released in the second half of June. The exact release date of the update will be announced later.

Key features of update 1.5:

• New weapons - players will receive a rifle early in the game and a pistol later in the game;
• Improved A-Life system - NPC and mutant behavior will become more realistic;
• Loot from mutants - now when killing creatures you can find useful items;
• Modification tools - a beta version of an editor that allows you to create your own mods will be released along with the patch.

The previously published Q2 2025 roadmap also mentioned the ability to skip shader compilation, a larger chest, and support for new widescreen modes.
