The Persona 5 Royal beta has ended – MKDEV has released the final version of the crack.

Last night, the MKDEV group released the final version of the Persona 5 Royal hack. - beta testing has successfully concluded. The hack is designed for game version 1.03b. MKDEV noted that the hack has been thoroughly tested and is now stable. Unlike the alternative crack for version 1.04, which uses a hypervisor, this hack does not use the kernel driver. Meanwhile, development of the hypervisor-based hack for version 1.04 continues—a bug that caused a blue screen has been fixed. However, the hypervisor-based hack currently only works on AMD processors. MKDEV also shared some interesting details: they claimed that hacking via the hypervisor took only two days and was "10,000 times easier" than manually hacking version 1.03b. This opens up enormous potential for hacking other Denuvo games—if MKDEV decides to pursue it, of course. In any case, MKDEV's hypervisor code is publicly available, and it's likely that if not MKDEV, then others will decide to try cracking Denu...

Rumor: Bethesda is working on "Starfield 2.0"

Bethesda Game Studios recently held a private preview of upcoming content for the space RPG Starfield , according to several game content creators , which the community has already dubbed "Starfield 2.0". The information came from several independent gaming bloggers who claim to have either attended the event or been involved in its organization. According to them, what they saw leaves an optimistic impression about the game's future, but the scale of the upcoming changes should not be overestimated. The update likely won't be as extensive as CD Projekt Red's celebrated Cyberpunk 2.0. Bethesda is working on improvements, but isn't fundamentally changing the project's core. The developers are deliberately refining the game's most frequently criticized aspects. Among them is the loading screen system, which is also confirmed by data from the latest game file dumps. Due to the game's rework, plans for the next major expansion may be revised and its ...

DOOM is becoming increasingly accessible. A website has launched that allows you to play a variety of mods and additional maps created for the original id Software game from the early '90s (not the 2016 reboot) directly from your browser. MKDEV cracks Denuvo in Persona 5 Royal: Group claims hypervisor is key to cracking Denuvo on release day

As it became known, today the MKDEV group released a beta version of the Denuvo protection hack for Persona 5 Royal The PC version was released in 2022 and remained uncracked for a long time. MKDEV's last Denuvo hack so far was FIFA 23. The group hacked it in 2023, after which they decided to retire and even shared some tips for aspiring Denuvo hackers. In their NFO, MKDEV clarified that this hack was a one-off and they don't plan to hack other Denuvo games. How long it will take to finalize the Persona 5 Royal hack is currently unknown. Along with the hack, the group also presented sample code for hacking Denuvo using a hypervisor. MKDEV claims that the hypervisor allows for bypassing numerous complex Denuvo checks, saving attackers a ton of routine work—they only need to modify the hack and some checks. However, due to the specific nature of the hypervisor, Denuvo will not be able to block this hacking method. MKDEV believes that the hypervisor will allow pirates to crack D...

Mass Effect veterans ditched generative AI for Exodus

Archetype Games, a studio founded by Mass Effect veterans, announced that it is not using generative AI in the development of its sci-fi RPG Exodus. Co-founder Chad Robertson emphasized that the developers currently have no plans to use AI in any aspect of the game. The discussion centered on Matthew McConaughey: the actor is involved in the project and is also investing in Elevenlabs, a company developing AI voice acting. However, Archetype clarified that this is in no way related to Exodus. All character lines in the game are recorded traditionally—with live actors in a studio, without voice generation. According to Robertson, McConaughey does have a separate agreement with Elevenlabs, but it doesn't cover Exodus and comes with strict restrictions. The developers added that they are willing to reconsider their technology approach in the future if quality, deadlines, or budget dictate, but for now, the game is being developed entirely by hand.
